HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!!!


My job at expo turned out not to be that bad. At least it was much better than I expected. I mean the environment and friends that i made. I was still rather worried that the stress of handling with money will make me backout for the first day of the bookfest but it didn't. First three days of my schedule, my counter was rather great. There was no gain or lose in cash, vouchers/coupons, visa/nets/master's receipts were all perfect. Never did i expect on my last day which was the first day of new year 2009! Things didn't turn out well. There was a shortage of 26 bucks cash, 75cents nets, and one visa recipts which is about 44 plus bucks disappear. This happened because one of the manager made mistakes while doing refunds for the customer at my counter. There were some admin problems. My heart sank when i heard there was a shortage of so much money.

Being selected to be a cashier should be a happy thing as the pay will be slightly more but the responsibility for a cashier was quite great. No money loses were to be expected. If not we had to bear the costs and poor clarrisa had to pay ten bucks. Besides that, i heard that another friend also had to pay but hers was quite alot. God bless. Don't deduct my pay!


So, yesterday was the last day of bookfest at expo and so my last day of working. It was rather tiring i must say. Working from 10am to 10pm. Taking into account it was at expo and we had to be there at 930am and left only around 1030pm or later. Luckily, i had friends living at cck area and my sister's accompanion home too! if not i would have slept all the way to no where.


Being able to take up this bookfest job with cindy neo xin yi, wen see and joo zhi were great! Laughters roll in as usual like in the past. Lols. Furthermore, i make new friends like

CLARRISA-toot toot. That's how we called each other at times due to our blurness! And she was the first friend i made during our training session! hehe she was a very nice friend i must say! =D i will not forget the short little shopping spree when john allowed us to do so. We bought almost the same items=) Thanks for waiting for me during training when my mentor's counter was the last to close and do settlement. She was a very punctual friend too =))))

Joachim- a typical ah beng looks alike. haha but a nice and friendly "ah beng" i must say. First day of work, my counter was just exactly beside him. As it was my first day, there were still many things i was not sure such as setting up the counter. And claiming that he was a friendly soul by himself, he offered many helps to me. There were times when we chatted too much and nearly got scolding or rather we got scolding in the last second day. Thanks for offering your seat to me too in mrt!

Jaslynn, sharon and xinyi- my packer coincidentally. These three girls were actually school mates of each other. They became my packers coincidentally i must say. They were funny people as well. =)

celestine- my sis's schoolmate but happened to be my packer also. haha. She was rather enthu i must say =)

Definitely, there were other new friends i make but these friends left a deeper impression in my heart !
