the trip to vitenam was certainly enjoyable and fun. Though i went there with dad only but i managed to make new friends such as JIAXIN, peifang, jiajun, jiade, and chengyong. they were great and nice people! whee.! singapore airline was great too. yingying told me that she wanted to be a air stewardess! oops sry i din noe the spelling! hee. to remember how nervous i was when the aeroplane began to fly. i held tightly to the handles. people, you would realise how fortunate you were to be a singaporean! cos children in vietnam din ve a good and blessed life like we do in singapore. they had to work all day long. some even had to beg outside the shops for money. vietnam was different from singapore in that in vietnam, there were much more motorbikes and only very few cars owned by people.and i meant alot alot of motorbikes.it had made crossing the road a dangerous thing. we had to hold hand in hand tightly and ran across the road. now you could imagine how scary it was. guess what, we hardly find any obese people in vietnam. almost all of them were skinny and slim. so you could imagine how hard we could buy their clothes. We went to Ho chi Minh City in vitenam. for the very first day, we stayed in dic star hotel and for the rest of the days, we transferred to Amara hotel. it was much grand compared to the dic star hotel. haha i love Amara hotel!two person per room and my room-mate was JIAXIN! haha.a very sweet girl! hee. i couldn't forget every night we would go to fangqi and yingying's room to play till late in the night. esp the last night we played till really late. one word to describe-FUNN! we spent our last day of 2006 in vietnam and first day of 2007 in vietnam! kinda of missing singapore! hahax. we visited several places in vietnam but one place i visited left a deep memory in my heart. haha cos it was fun and scary.

the tunnel that we went thru! that place was actually a historical place where the vietnam soldiers went thru there during war times. we had little or rather mini experiences of it. that small and dark tunnel that we duck walked thru. i rmb changfeng was the first to go down followed by me and uncle ah tan and so on. before we even started duck walking, uncle tan alr started to sweat saying:"oops my pants!!!!!" i was laughing till i hardly walk. haha. as we walked thru the tunnel, it was seriously very dark. feeling like you had lost ur eyesight. it was a very small tunnel.feeling tired and uncomfortable.all of us were screaming all over. haha and of cos i did. i kept screaming:"changfeng where were you?" and he would say:"senior senior, i m here" haha. den he would grab tightly to my hand. hahax. uncle tan was slightly slower so left two of us in the front .to wonder why he called me senior. he was actually from swiss.haha. finally, we completed that 30 metres! sweating lots. everybody heaved a sigh of relief. den changfeng told aunty zhen li my frightening tones and how tightly i grabbed onto his shirt. Lol. i couldn't imagaine how the soldiers gonna pull thru these moments during war times. they certainly gonna travel in this duck walking position for longer distances.not to be surprised that many people actually died there. we were told that they were just pulled out by strings tied onto them once they were dead. how cruel it was. =( i m so so fortunate!!! the web of this tunnel was# www.cuchitunnel.org.vn #
